SPECIALTY ANTIFOAM/DEFOAMER

C-22977

C-22977 is an industrial-grade antifoam emulsion containing approximately 65% active defoaming ingredients, of which most are silicones. In conjunction with the special, non-silicone defoaming agents present in the formulation, this high level of silicone was specifically designed to deliver outstanding foam-combative performance in difficult to defoam industrial products and processes, examples of which include certain types of coatings, wastewater applications, and chemical manufacturing. The functional properties developed especially for C-22977 to eliminate and prevent excessive foam include quick dispersibility and a high degree of spreadability in the foaming system. C-22977 also finds utility in destroying anionic foam associated with cleaning products and their manufacture, is highly rinseable, and is a suitable antifoam for the manufacture of food-grade paper and paperboard per 21 CFR 176.170, 176.180, and 176.210.

C-2290

C-2290 is broad-spectrum antifoam demonstrating effectiveness in a variety of applications. It excels in evaporative wastewater treatment, and is a strong performer versus numerous types of detergent foam. It is particularly effective in the agriculture industry to control foam in herbicides and spray adjuvants. And it has also found utility in chemical manufacturing, water treatment, industrial process water, and some types of cleaning products and coating formulations. C-2290 antifoam is a water-based emulsion containing a complex mixture of silicones and non-silicone active ingredients. This combination provides rapid and aggressive foam destruction, and persistent foam suppression in many types of foaming media. C-2290 is readily dispersible in water with gentle mixing, and is generally more rinsable than a conventional silicone antifoam.

C-2280

C-2280 is a non-aqueous, silicone-free defoamer utilizing defoaming polymers and biodegradable oils to deliver outstanding foam combative performance in many different applications, including both water-based and oil-based systems. The functional properties developed especially for C-2280 to eliminate and prevent excessive foam include very quick dispersibility in aqueous media and a high degree of spreadability in the foaming system. C-2280 possesses good stability and long-lasting efficacy in oil-based hydraulic and metalworking fluids, performs well in fermentation systems, finds utility in industrial wastewater applications, and functions as a more-highly water-dispersible alternative for systems reliant upon traditional block copolymer/polyol defoamers. C-2280 contains only ingredients that are recognized by qualified experts as safe in food products according to the Code of Federal Regulations, Title 21, Part 173.340, and may therefore be safely used as a direct food additive limited to the processing of beet sugar and yeast.  C-2280 also adheres to the following FDA regulations: 21 CFR 175.105 for adhesives; 21 CFR 176.210 for the manufacture of paper and paperboard; 21 CFR 176.200 and 175.300 for coatings; and 21 CFR 178.3120 for animal glue.

C-22966

C-22966 is a non-aqueous, glycol-based, industrial-grade antifoam utilizing high concentrations of organo-modified silicones in conjunction with non-silicone defoaming polymers to deliver outstanding foam-combative performance. The functional properties developed especially for C-22966 to eliminate and prevent excessive foam include quick dispersibility and a high degree of spreadability in the foaming system. Originally designed for high-performance coatings applications, C-22966 also possesses good stability and long-lasting efficacy in a variety of other industrial processes. C-22966 contains special silicones with enhanced rinseability and water dispersibility characteristics; thus, C-22966 has the potential to be utilized in applications traditionally sensitive to the presence of silicone. C-22966 is also suitable antifoam for the manufacture of paper and paperboard per 21 CFR 176.170, 176.180, and 176.210.

IG-3830

IG-3830 is a proprietary polymer designed to improve pulp mill defoamers performance and enhance drainage on brown stock washers. IG-3830 can be post added to an existing formulation and/or incorporated into the defoamer manufacturing process. IG-3830 is effective in oil based defoamers, water extended defoamers, water-based silicone defoamers, and silicone concentrates.

IG-3830 can be used as an additive to a pulp mill defoamer at levels from 1% to 5% of a defoamer formulation to being a basis for a pulp mill defoamer at levels from 24% to 40%.

When used as the basis for a pulp mill defoamer IG-3830 works as an antifoam which further improves brown stock washing; if the liquor is less prone to foam it will drain better through the pulp mat. Polyols, silicone surfactants, and hydrophobic silica works well when IG-3830 is used as the defoamer base. IG-3830 is also effective on red stock washers and in carbonate mills.

IG-3024 AC

IG-3024 AC is a concentrated formula defoamer developed specifically to eliminate entrained air in paint, coatings and ink applications.

C-2296

C-2296 is a 100% active, non-aqueous, glycol-based non-food grade antifoam with high concentrations of organo-modified silicones in conjunction with non-silicone defoaming polymers that delivers outstanding foam-combative performance. C-2296 provides efficacy in high-performance coatings applications as well as many agricultural uses. It also is used in paper and paperboard manufacturing.
